Sebring, FL - Charles LeRoy "Roy" Graves, CTTC USN Retired, 79, passed away in Sebring, FL on August 30th, 2018.

Mr. Graves was born on November 20th, 1938 in Crawfordsville, IN to Charles Benjamin and Geraldine Graves. His stepfather was Kenneth Royer. After graduating from Coal Creek Central, he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1958 and married Sandra L. Thayer on September 11th, 1960. They later divorced in 1993. He served in the Navy as a Cryptologic Technician until 1983, traveling around the world with his family and serving his country. Later in his Naval career he became a very successful recruiter. Once in the private sector, Mr. Graves became one of the top new car salesmen in the state of Indiana. He married Teresa Cline on August 2nd, 1998.

His hobbies included woodworking, building electronics, watching collegiate basketball, and he had a great passion for building and flying model airplanes.

Mr. Graves is survived by his wife, Teresa Graves; his daughters, Dawn (Tom) Hennessy, Stacey (Joe) Grabman; his son, Robert (James) Graves; his stepchildren Brian Cline, Heather (Jason) Bault; and his grandchildren Andrew (Laura) Jones, Mallorie (Luis) Vega, Alexandria Grabman, Meigan Grabman, Colin Grabman, and Kendall Bault; his brother Clarence "Bud" (Tina) Graves; his sister Patricia (Gary) Bymaster; and his stepsister Patricia Wolf. He is preceded in death by his stepsister Ruth "Nadine" (Irv) Bingham and his parents.

A visitation will take place in the Chapel at the First United Methodist Church in Crawfordsville, IN on October 6th at Noon, with a memorial taking place at 2pm and a military graveside service immediately following in New Richmond. The memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Patricia Bymaster. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to The American Legion at https://donate.legion.org/
