Wolcott - Darleen Ann Erb, 60, of Wolcott, passed away at 1:25 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Indiana University Health of Lafayette.

She was born January 19, 1958 in Monticello to the late Neil and Ruth (Long) Erb and graduated in January of 1976 from West Central High School.

Darleen was a Certified Nursing Assistant for Twin Lakes Village, George Ade Memorial and lastly for Help At Home. Darleen was a selfless giver and always put others first. Her gift of kindness to others made her a special friend to many of the patients she served as a CNA.

She enjoyed gardening, watching the birds out of her back window and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving is her brother, Darrel Erb of Francesville; her daughters, Joleen Erb-Abplanalp (companion: Arnav) of Farmington Hills, MI, Tiffany Weldon (husband: Tyler) of Wolcott and Misty Falk of West Point, IN; two step-sisters, Deborah Blackwood (husband: Jay) of Estes Park, Colorado and Mary Jane Royce (husband: Mike) of Lafayette. Darleen cherished her grandchildren, Mikayla, Samantha, Joshua and Elijah. Also surviving are her special nieces and nephews, Tara Horvath (husband: Travis) of LaVille, Kurtis Erb (wife: Kelsey) and Kory Erb (wife: Rebekah) both of Francesville and several great-nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death with her parents is a sister, Cindy Jo Timmons; her step-mother, Marceline Erb and a step-sister, Patricia Duno.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon (197 East State Road 16). Private interment to occur at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Darleen Erb Memorial Fund to be used for a later good in her name.
