Donna M Hadsell

Donna M. Hadsell, 84, of Indianapolis passed away Monday morning Sept. 9 at her residence following a brief illness. An Indianapolis resident since 1966, Mrs. Hadsell graduated from Lima South High School (Lima, OH) and Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a retiree of Hoosier Village Health Center, after 25 years of service. Mrs. Hadsell was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.

Born August 21, 1929, in Lima, OH, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Bowman and Fredonia (Ramge Bowman) Bathtel. On June 1, 1951, Mrs. Hadsell married Robert O. Hadsell, and they celebrated 59 years of marriage together until his passing in March of 2011.

Over the course of her life, she was a Brownie leader, Girl Scout leader, a Cub Scout volunteer, poll volunteer for local and national elections, a member of Epsilon Sigma chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa sorority, serving in several positions. She was also a former member of Kappa Kappa Kappa's State Fine Arts Committee. Mrs. Hadsell was Secretary of Hadsell Tire, Inc., of Anderson, IN for 20 years, where she also served as Chief Support Officer and Assistant to the President.

As well as her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Harry Bathtel, brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Mary Bowman, and brother-in-law, Gilbert Weeks. She is survived by a sister, Margaret Weeks (Springfield, OH), daughters, Linda (Phil) Neese of Alexandria, IN, Debra (Steven) Brown of Lafayette, IN, son, Robert (Jaci) Hadsell of New Castle, IN, grandchildren, Philip (Lisa) Neese, Jennifer (James) Orr, Corey (Adam) King, Kelsey Brown, Jessica and Andrea Hadsell, great-grandchildren, Cyan, Bryton, and Austyn Orr, sister-in-law, Betty (Blaine) Joyce.

Mrs. Hadsell loved quilting, enjoyed traveling and was always supportive to her children and grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-8pm, Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd West Dr, Indianapolis. Additional calling from 1-2pm, with the service following at 2pm will be held Friday, September 13, 2013 at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 100 W 86th St, Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kappa Kappa Kappa Special Fund, Wheeler Mission, or the .
