Lafayette - William Andrew Ralston, 74, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.

He was born in Indianapolis on May 22, 1944 to William "Bud" Ralston, Sr. and Wanda (Clark) Ralston. William graduated from Manuel High School in Indianapolis in 1962 where he lettered in baseball his freshman year.

In 1962, he met JoAnne Wilson and made her his wife in 1965, loving her every single day since.

William accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 1973 and was baptized in the creek at Morgantown.

He worked for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis and Lafayette for 14 years and then went to work for SIA for 13 years before he retired.

William loved fishing, golfing, playing the guitar, and listening to country music. In the last few years while battling Alzheimer's Disease, he would listen to his classic country vinyl records which brought him great joy. He also enjoyed gardening and playing darts with his sons while watching the Colts play football.

Surviving are his wife, JoAnne Ralston; his sons, Bradley (Sentta) Ralston, David Ralston, and Jeremy (Cindy) Ralston; his aunt, Jenny Gradient; his uncles, Chuck Clark and Jim Clark; his sisters, Pam (Terry) Choate, Jeannie (George) Patterson, and Cindy (Bill) Alderson; his grandchildren, Bailley (Justin) Maxwell, David (Brittney) Alexander Utley, Rachel Ralston, Natalie Ralston, and Jonathan Ralston; and great grandchildren, Avery and Riley Maxwell, Lily, Gentry, and Wrigley Utley and one on the way. Also surviving are a multitude of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends who all loved him immensely.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Sharon Byers and Rosie Dunham.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Elston Presbyterian Church (375 Elston Road, Lafayette, IN 47909) with Pastor Rick Ryan officiating.
