Marilyn J. Richey, 87

Marilyn J. Richey, 87, of West Lafayette, passed away at 11:45 am Thursday, May 29, 2014, at IU Health Arnett.

She was born March 28, 1927, in Galesburg, IL, to the late A. G. and Hazel (Mills) Wagle. On October 17, 1954, she married James D. Richey in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2011. Marilyn retired from Purdue University after twenty-five years as a file clerk in the school of humanities. She also worked as a receptionist at St. Anthony Health Care and was a Pink Lady at Lafayette Home Hospital for several years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and enjoyed reading, watching golf and soap operas, and spending time with her cat Jewels. She was a Chicago Cubs fan. Surviving are three daughters, Sharon J. Morrisette (husband Fred) of Longview, IL, Kai Lynch (husband Dale) of Arroyo Grande, CA, Cindy Anderson (husband Jim) of West Lafayette; a son Scott D. Richey (wife Linda) of Rossville; and a sister Yvonne Duckworth of West Lafayette. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway W., West Lafayette, IN 47906 with Pastor Linda Dolby officiating.
