Gary Allen Folladori, 58, of Sterling, passed away Sept. 24, 2013, in Sterling. Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, with Rosary and Vigil to follow at 6 p.m. at Tennant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Gary was born June 18, 1955, in Sterling to Vincent and Alice Hernandez Folladori. He was raised on the Folladori farms north of Proctor and attended school in Crook. He graduated with the class of 1973, the final graduating class of Crook High School. His senior year, he was Honor Society president, prom king, and class valedictorian. Following graduation he attended NJC for two years and then got his bachelors degree in business administration from Regis.
He chose to remain in Sterling because he liked the town and the area. He worked at various places in Sterling and his final job was at Sykes Enterprises, where he worked for several years and had many friends who supported him during his illness, with cards, messages of encouragement, calls, visits and flowers.
Even though he lived in Sterling, he would drive out to the farm on weekends to help his dad and to enjoy the wide open spaces. His favorite hobby out there was riding his motorcycle with his buddies, Rich, Ray and Russ. He also enjoyed reading, a little gardening, and spending lots of time doing things on his computer.
He survived by his parents, Vince and Alice Folladori; aunts, Ginny Folladori, Hilda Frank and husband Darrell; and Uncle Joe Hernandez. Also many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Kay Folladori in 1980; and his grandparents, Otto and Mary Folladori and Cesareo and Petra Hernandez.
Gary will be remembered for his quiet and kind ways and loved by all.
Memorials can be made to Gary Folladori Memorial in care of Tennant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
