Debra Zins Obituary

MADISON - Debra Ann Zins, 44, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Sept. 23, 1962, in Winthrop, Mass., the daughter of Arnold and Marjorie (nee: Johnson) Miskowicz. Debra graduated from Case High School, Racine, in 1980. She was united in marriage to David Zins on April 17, 1999, in Madison. Her biggest joy was as a foster mother in Kenosha county and adopting her first child, Manny. She enjoyed music, going to concerts, crocheting, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Debra is survived by her husband, David; son, Manny; sister, Robin Pagel of Sturtevant; step-daughter, Melissa Zins of DeForest; mother-in-law, Janice Zins; father-in-law, Richard Zins; sister-in-law, Chris (Steve) Johnson; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and aunt, Shirley Miskowicz. A Memorial service will be held at Gunderson East Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Dr., at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, with the Rev. Ken Brummel (from Open Door Church) presiding. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
