My sympathy is extended to the family. I am a volunteer at Luther Manor, and also a member of Our Saviors. I would take Ed to get a haircut every six weeks, and we would talk about Norway (I am half norsk), the church, and also sports. In these last years I have looked forward to our visits. He was a fine man, but am happy and blessed that he no longer has any pain or the burdens of this world. He is in a better place, and we will all see him again.

To the Aamot Family, my deepest Sympathy on the loss of your Dad, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa. I know that he will be very much missed by you all. He was a great man. I would stop and talk with Ed when I saw him sitting by the Nursing Station waiting for a meal. He was always pleasant to talk with. HE also had a smile for you. :) God Bless each one of you.
Love,

I was the person (relative to you friend Tom Lavers) which found date and year from Emigrant-lists when you left Norway, namely November 16th 1927 at an age of 20.
