Daniels, Dwight E. Found peace on September 11, 2013, at age 60. Lovingly survived by his wife Kathy (nee Sawicki). Beloved dad of Nicole (Nick) Czarnyszka and Andy (Jonelle) Daniels. Devoted grandpa "snack master" of Collin, Daisy, Abbie, Tegan and Ava. Dear brother of Duane (the late Toni) and sister-in-law Linda Daniels. He is further survived by his cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives and respected friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Helene, sister Darlene Prochnow and his brother Dennis Daniels. Dwight proudly served in the United States Navy. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and time with family. His gift to gab and friendly face will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday, September 16, 2013, from 4 PM until 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 17, at Blessed Sacrament Church (3100 S. 41st Street). Burial to follow at Southern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery.

Just saw the notice on the USS Ashtabula Facebook page. Spent a lot of time with Dwight on liberty in the States and overseas. He was a great guy and a good sailor. Sorry to hear of his passing. Fair winds and following seas shipmate.
