I met Colin this semester, in the context of my class at UWM, and I keep the best impressions of him. Colin's maturity was always very clear, and I was particularly appreciative of his constant generosity in class meetings. He was collaborative at all times, never hesitated about giving his contribution to a debate, and always found the kindest comments and questions to ask his colleagues, helping them in their work. He therefore honored the reason why we are all in a university classroom: to keep learning and growing in our own paths. I feel fortunate to have met Colin and to have counted him as one of my students. The feeling that there was so much more that we could have learned from his collaboration – one that I always have of all my students – is mitigated by the awareness that we try our most to allow everyone to create and express their best thoughts, their most genuine intelectual achievements, and by the desire to redouble that effort. My regards and respects to Colin's family.

To the Smith and Moores Families, Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this sorrowful time. Our Lord gave us one of the best gifts, that's the gift of our memory. During the days, weeks and months ahead, the memories of Colin will be shared amongst each other. There will be tears, smiles and laughs, but most of all there will be love! May the soul of your dearly departed Colin, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen!

I can honestly say that all of my memories of Colin are positive ones. He had such an indescribable presence - of course his keen sense or humor will be remembered, but even more so, his kindness and loving spirit. He had such a genuineness about him that one couldn't help but be enthralled and inspired by him. It's evident that he was Divinely inspired through how he lived his life. I hope his family finds comfort in knowing that such a beautiful soul will always remain with them and inspire all of us. I pray God gives you hope, peace, and comfort throughout the minutes, days, years to come.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Colin's family in a time where faith and understanding are needed the most. Colin had an ability to light up an entire room by simply walking through the door and his spirit will forever be in our hearts. I'll be seeing you again one day my friend, until then, may peace be with you.

Psalm 23 ~The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil,for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies
