Edward P. Kolacke

Kolacke, Edward P. Went to join his beloved wife of 54 years, Frances (nee Muehlbauer), on Monday, July 29, 2013, age 90 years. Much loved father of Mary Lynn (John) Karolewski and Daniel (Suzanne) Kolacke. Very proud grandpa of Daniel Kolacke II, Joseph (Risa) Kolacke, Georgine (Andrew) Phillips, Stephanie Karolewski. Dear great-grandpa of Allie (Chad) Simmerman; Abbie and Amy Kolacke; Emma and Chloe Kolacke; Rhys, Yetbarek, Jayne and Charlotte Phillips. Dearest brother of Richard Kolacki, the late Robert Kolacke and the late Thomas Kolacke. Fond brother-in-law of Georgine (John) Dumbleton. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and his dear friend, Cathy Bagin. Edward was a Certified Public Accountant retiring from Allis Chalmers as the Tax Planning Manager and a graduate of Marquette University. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran during World War II most notably as a Carpetbagger, was a member and past-commander of Allis Chalmers Post No. 500, American Legion and earlier this year participated in the Honor Flight to Washington DC. Edward was a devote Christian and believed in giving time to his church either as Holy Name president at Corpus Christi Parish, Bereavement Ministry at St. Charles or volunteering at Fr. Gene's Help. A heartfelt thank you to the staffs of Lasata Care Center and Heartland Hospice, especially Pamela, for the loving and tender care you gave Eddie and his family. Visitation at the Funeral Home Thursday, August 1, 2013, 5:00-8:00 PM. Remembrance Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation also on Friday, 10:00-11:00 AM at ST. CHARLES BORROMEO CHURCH, 3400 W. Parnell Ave., Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment and military honors to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission are appreciated.
