My sincere condolences to the Dorsey Family on the recent passing of Jimmie lee.
I just wanted to say that J.D. was a very kind soul and a joyful person. I had the opportunity to work with when assigned to cases in his patrol district. You knew everything was under control when Sgt J.D was on the scene supervising his officers.
Our city just lost one of the few greats in MPD history and I hope his legacy and thought process on Law Enforcement will be carried on by all those he mentored.
The one thing I will always remember was the aroma of his cigar as he stepped out of his squad over the years. Also, his laugh or a quick joke to break the tension during incidents on the street.
So, I will pray for J.D., his family and friends so that they may comfort one another during this time of sorrow.
J. D. served his community with honor and will be misses by all who knew him.
J.D. may you R.I.P as you travel on your new journey, hopefully it will be a sunny place that has nice beach and cigars for you to cherish.
