My dear Kris, Mike and families,
It saddened me to hear about the loss of your dad so much so that it has taken me some time to leave my condolences. Our entire childhood we have spent together and both your parents were like adopted parents to me. I have always remembered my dads best friends birthdays and your dad has always been in my thoughts on his special day and will be until it is my time to go home.
I thought about the most special memory to place here, I thought at first it would be how he used to joke around with me as I would visit your folks to watch TV in the Den on evenings that were allowed. But there was one other time that I shall hold close to me and that was when I was left to babysit, maybe Krissy was busy that she wasn't watching over us? I cannot remember. But I do remember having to call your dad because I smelled something burning or melting in our home. Scared for myself and my siblings, I called your dad and asked him to help me and he came right over! He searched the house high and low to find the culprit and to my surprise he did! It happened to be my dads Stanley Thermos cork that had somehow got to the heating element in our dishwasher. Your dad was my hero!!
On my last visit with your parents 7 years ago, I sat at the kitchen table dad on my left mom on my right we enjoyed conversation and a fried egg sandwich. Looking back now I saw pure love, 1/2 of a heart being your dad the other your mom.
I cannot imagine the pains that you have all gone through and are still going through, my heart weeps for you all. But as witness and experience, I have seen true love in your family nucleus for that I feel blessed.
You are in my thoughts and prayers and may God help you find peace in knowing that your parents love is unending and is now eternally so.
My love to you all.
Bridget
