Raymond Bergholz Obituary

Bergholz, Raymond W. Found peace Friday, September 5, 2008, age 89. Beloved husband of June (nee Hansen), for 63 years. Proud father of the late Robert (Janell), Richard (Susan) and Randall. Loving grandfather of Michelle (Shane) Frazier, Jennifer (Brandon) Roberts, Jessie (Ed) Kileen, Amylia Grace, Rachel (Ross) Gagliano and Andrew (Megan) Bergholz. Great-grandfather of 11 adoring great-grandchildren. Also loved by other relatives and friends. Ray's greatest professional achievement was as founder of TAPCO-Traffic and Parking Control Co. Inc., started in Ray's basement over 50 years ago. TAPCO is a true example of the American dream. TAPCO has grown from a small sales office to a third generation family run business, that employs over 120 people in the transportation industry. Ray was an honored member of the Sales and Marketing Executives Association, past president of the Council of Independent Managers and colleague to many in the State Department of Transportation. Ray also was a member of the American Legion Post #449, in tribute to his military service in the United States Army during World War II. Ray was an amazing business man, wonderful father and revered grandfather, but his greatest personal achievement was his marriage of 63 years to his loving wife, June. He was an enthusiastic member of his neighborhood "Dirty Dozen" and an active member of Our Redeemer Church. A special thank you to Ray's devoted caregivers Judy, Sharon, Maurice, Fumi and Connie for their tireless care and attention. Memorials appreciated to the Bergholz Family Fund. Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday, September 8, 4:00-6:45 PM. Funeral Service 7:00 PM. Burial Wisconsin Memorial Park Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Meet at Funeral Home at 10:30 AM for procession to cemetery. Condolences to: www.krausefuneralhome.com KRAUSE FUNERAL HOMES and Cremation Service 9000 W. Capitol Dr. 414-464-4640

Ray was a great boss and a great inspiration. He was and is one of the top five people who have positively influenced my life. My wife and I send you our sympathies.

To June, Rick & Randy, both of us send you our deepest sympathy. We will always remember Ray and the love he had for his family. We are so glad we, including Mom (Helen Bloedorn) had another opportunity to see him and you June, in Florida a few years ago. We always had such great times together. We know Ray will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to each of you.

Randy and family,
Our sincerest sympathies to all of you in the loss of your dear father. I saw your parents at the Lutheran Home when my mom was there about a year ago. They were so sweet, just like I remembered them. Keep those memories close to your heart and you will be okay. Both of my parents are with Jesus now, and you still have your mom. Cherish every moment you can with her - you'll remember it forever! Again, our sympathies.
