RIP, Josep Llaurado. Unbeknownst to many, Dr. Llaurado was the leading authority on the mathematical and physical basis for biologic relativity. I presented a paper along with him and Dr. E.R.N. Grigg at the Second Symposium on Biologic Relativity, in 1971, at the AAAS' Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. Dr. Llaurado was gracious, insightful, and brilliant. He will be missed by many.

Thadd & Kathleen,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We remember Thadd talking about his dad often when we were neighbors in New Berlin, WI. Josep was an amazing man and father.

I worked for Dr. Llaurado at the VA in the 1970s into the 1980s. He is one of the brightest people I knew. He married a wonderful woman and raised a beautiful family. His contributions to biomedical engineering were many and he never was afraid to try something completely new. He was very good to me, perhaps because I was the only person at the VA who could read his penmanship! I called him up on a minute's notice when I was at a meeting in Anaheim and he graciously came there to see me for an evening. We reminisced about our times together in Milwaukee and had a wonderful time. It was so kind of him to do this. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Thad, Kathleen and Family
Our deepest sympathy to all of the Llaurado family on the passing of your Father. He certainly sounded like a man of great Faith in his Heavenly Father and I am sure he is with Him.

Mireya,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I'm sorry I am unable to be in CA for the service but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. We will celebrate Pops when I see you in a few weeks. I will forever be "the girl on the fridge" and we will giggle about how Pops and I were pen pals. Dr. Llaurado and Deirdre raised a beautiful, kind, and loving daughter who has become such a dear friend to me.
All my love,
Kaaren

I only knew Josep for a short while, but he touched my heart. He was an amazing, strong, passionate, smart, loving man. I loved to listen to all of his adventures. Hearing his stories about his life accomplishments was a great motivation to anyone who came in contact with him. In a short time he taught me so much. I will miss spending my days with him, caring for him, talking and laughing with him. I will the long conversations as well as the quiet moments just watching church, or the police shows as he would call them. May you Rest In Peace Josep you have earned it. To Lluarado family my deepest condolences and prayers go out to you during this heartbreaking time. Alicia

Sorry for your loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" strengthen your family during this difficult time (Isaiah 61:1,2)
