Albert James Puhek Notice
Puhek, Albert James Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019, at the age of 77 years. Survived by his sister Annette Mantey, nephew Dean Hegerty (Terri), niece Laura Hegerty-McDonald (Dennis), great-nephews Peter Hegerty and Aiden McDonald, great-niece Dana Hegerty (Austin Hamilton) and great-great-niece Melody Jane. He was preceded in death by his parents Agnes (nee Kestner) and Peter J. Puhek, brother-in-law Robert Mantey, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relatives and friends. Al was very proud of his Slovenian Heritage. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict and a graduate of UWM, earning a Masters Degree. He retired as a welder at Western Plow. An avid sports fan, Al was a Packer Shareholder. He dedicated his life to caring for his parents. He enjoyed attending operas and musical theatres, devoting his life to translating operas. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELP CONGREGATION, 116th Street Site, (formerly Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1212 S. 117th Street, West Allis). Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 2:00 PM. Private interment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. To receive this obit/directions text 1829930 to 414-301-6422
