Kazmierczak, Rev. Carl Michael With hope in the resurrection, we commend to the Lord, Reverend Carl Michael Kazmierzcak, who died on May 5, 2018, at the age of 89, when he entered the fullness of Eternal Life. Father Carl M. Kazmierczak was born on July 17, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Beloved son of the late John and the late Helen (nee Czerwinski) Kazmierczak and dear brother of the late Eugenia and the late Lauretta. He attended Marquette and St. Bonaventure High Schools. He began his priestly formation at Saint Francis Minor Seminary in 1947 and attended Saint Francis Major Seminary from 1949 to 1955. Father Kazmierczak was ordained to the priesthood on May 14, 1955 at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Milwaukee by the Most Reverend Albert G. Meyer, then Archbishop of Milwaukee. He offered his First Mass at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church on May 15, 1955. Father's priestly ministry began on June 1, 1955 as an Assistant at St. Stanislaus Parish, Milwaukee, and served the following parishes: St. Barbara, St. Casimir in Kenosha, Our Lady Queen of Peace and Blessed Sacrament, both parishes in Milwaukee. On July 20, 1976 he was officially appointed Pastor of St. John Kanty Parish, Milwaukee, by the Most Reverend William E. Cousins, Archbishop of Milwaukee, until his retirement on May 15, 2005. Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, May 25 from 5 - 7 PM. Rosary Service at 7 PM. Additional visitation on Saturday, May 26 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 1547 W. Windlake Ave., from 10 - 10:45 AM. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Father Kazmierczak will be celebrated at 11 AM. Burial at St. Adalbert Cemetery. Priest friends and former colleagues are invited to concelebrate, please bring an alb and white stole. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the appreciated. May he rest in peace.
