1941 - 2018 Notice Condolences
Braovac, Dujo Born in Renici (Raseljke), Croatia on February 5th, 1941. Found eternal peace on September 14th, 2018, while surrounded by family. Preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Iva (nee Pavic) Braovac, brother Nikola, and sisters Mara, Milica, and Franjka, Survived by his wife Mary (nee Hellinger); sons John (Laura) Braovac, Robert (CarolAnn) Braovac; daughters Maria (Fredy) Jany, Emily (Joe) Zeleznak; grandchildren Mara, Nina, and Luka Braovac; Kristijan, Lejla, and Marko Jany; Marinko and Leona Zeleznak. Further survived by his brothers Filip (Maria), Bozo (Jaka); sister Matija; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews; and other relatives in the U.S., Canada, Austria, and Croatia. Dujo retired after working 30+ years at Harley Davidson Motor Company. He was best known for his love of his family, and pride in his Croatian heritage. He also cherished his time with his grandchildren. Dujo's smile, generosity, and kindness will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be Thursday, September 20th at Schaff Funeral Home, 4-8 pm. Vigil at 7 pm. Funeral Service Friday, September 21st at Sacred Heart Croatian Church (917 N. 49th St in Milwaukee) with Mass at 10:30 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers to make any donations to the "Gold in September (G9)" foundation in honor of 'Luka Braovac' for the passing of his grandfather, Dujo. http://goldinseptember.com
