James G. Cron Notice
Cron, James G. 81, passed away on January 2, 2013. Jim was born on March 26, 1931, and was the son of Dr. and Mrs. Roland Cron of Milwaukee, and the brother of Judi Cron Friedman, who will miss him very much. He attended Milwaukee Country Day School, Milwaukee University School, and Denison University. After serving in the Army as a surveyor in the Philippines and attaining the rank of Pfc., Jim took up residence on N. Cass St., where he spent most of his adult life. Deeply interested in photography, he especially enjoyed photographing railroad and automotive subjects. He was a good citizen who supported various charities and was an avid member of the Democratic Party. In his later years he made many friends. Special thanks for their friendship go to Harold Hatfield, Tina Kambouris, Jan and Bill Lamping, Charles and Pat Damaske, Marguerite Tousignant and Peter Trzebiatoski, Dan and Carolyn Doedens, and Edward Clark. Extreme gratitude goes to Janet Martin and Scott Vuchetich for their help, advice and caring. A special spring remembrance in honor of Jim will be held at the Mykonos Gyro Café, 1014 N. Van Buren St., in Milwaukee, on Sunday, April 28, from 2 to 5 PM. Anyone who wishes to make a contribution in Jim's name, please donate to the Milwaukee Art Museum, 700 N.
