LaVerne M. Bruno

1930 - 2019 Notice Condolences
LaVerne M. Bruno Notice
Bruno, LaVerne M. (Nee Mathey) Passed to Eternal Life Tuesday, January 8, 2019, age 88 years. Loving wife of the late August. Dear mother of Christine (Joseph) Gush, Steve (Cynthia) Bruno, Robert Bruno and Susan (1958 - 1962) Bruno. Loving grandmother of Nicholas and Stephanie Bruno, Michelle (Todd) Nadeau, Christopher (Cory LaRose) Gush, Susan (Paul) LaRouche and Steven (Kathryn) Gush. Proud great grandmother of Ashley and DJ. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. LaVerne was an only child to Edward and Marie Mathey and grew up in West Milwaukee. She was a hard worker for over 30 year at Badger Bindery, but being a loving and caring mother always came first. Anyone who knew LaVerne knows she was blessed with a feisty personality. After retiring, her frequent trips to CT to be with her daughter and family kept her spirit bright and provided well deserved breaks from her daily routine. LaVerne found joy in being with family, drinking an occasional margarita, ice cream and shopping for crazy hats at Goodwill. LaVerne had a special place in her heart for her beloved 4-legged grandchildren Tanner, Ellie, Harry, Charlie, Rex, Ziggy, Neptune and Gina too. They will miss her gentle touch and "conversations". Special Thanks to St. Ann Rest Home for providing such compassionate care to LaVerne over the past 3+ years. Visitation Saturday, January 12, 2019 at St. Florian Church (1210 S. 45th St.) from 10AM until time of Memorial Mass at 11:30AM. Internment Mt. Olivet Cemetery (3801 W. Morgan Ave.), followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Ann Rest Home (2020 S. Muskego Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53204) appreciated.
