Mary Eleanor Dupuis Notice
Dupuis, Mary Eleanor (Nee Thompson) Found peace Sept. 12, 2018 at age 95. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Adrian Dupuis, "Mother Mary" was a treasured wife, mother of 5, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by her much loved daughter-in-law, Debbie, 7 beloved siblings, and other relatives and friends. Mary is survived by her children Marie (Peter Westergard), Therese Fleissner (John), Thomas, Laurence (Joanna), and Paul. She dearly loved her grandchildren Paul Thomas (Dorothy), Shelly (Ben), Melanie (Chris), Todd (Laura), Chris, Emily (Shawn), Laura, Betsy and Sam. She derived great joy from great-grandchildren Zachary, Nathan, Quinn, Lucas, Reagan, Colton, Shyla, Allie, and her newest great-grand baby Finley. Finn brought Mary a new lease on life the past 22 months. Mary is further survived by her wonderful sisters Margaret and Rosie, sisters-in-law Kateri, Mary and Margie, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was above all else a mothering soul, to all her family, friends and neighbors. She was funny, feisty, and could be fierce in defense of others. She was loyal, selfless, giving, and supportive no matter what. Mary gave her family a beautiful gift in her last weeks, by telling us she was at peace, ready for the next steps, and that she had had a wonderful life. Thank you to the staff at the Milwaukee Catholic Home for taking good care of Mary and to VITAS Hospice for extra care in her last days. Visitation will be held on Sat. Sept. 22, 2018, from 9am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, all at Milwaukee Catholic Home-St. Anne Chapel, 2462 N. Prospect Ave. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, Mary would appreciate donations to Capuchin Community Services of Milwaukee.
