Melvin O. Pritchett Notice
Pritchett, Melvin O. "Mel" Reunited with his wife Rita (nee Pliska), daughter Christine (Paul) Horbinski, son-in-law Richard Lentz, his parents, brothers, sisters and friends on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the age of 89. Loving dad of Judith (Tom Trapman) Pritchett, Michael James Pritchett and Kathleen (Paul) Martinez. Proud and loving grandpa of Michael Paul (Ashley) Pritchett, Alicia (Brandon) Dolbeare, Andrea Horbinski, Mercedes (Mike) Paz, Nicole Horbinski, Samuel Martinez, Ruby (Natan Cohen) Martinez, Charles Melvin Martinez, Richard Gradyn Lentz and William Martinez. Proud and loving great-grandpa of Tucker, Grace, Amelia, Avery, Levi and Cullen Oscar. Special friend of Mary Sullivan. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mel graduated from Boys Tech in 1947 and served in the Army during the Korean War from 1950 - 1952. Upon his return he joined his brothers as a partner in RC Electric. He and his brothers once owned the Oriental Theater and Landmark Lanes on the East Side of Milwaukee. Mel was also a member of the Electric League of Milwaukee and the National Electrical Contractors Association. Mel enjoyed golfing, playing the poker machines at Potawatomi, and watching sports and the History Channel on tv. However, his greatest passion was for his family's well being. Special thanks to Allay Hospice Providers and the Home Instead caregivers for their kind, compassionate, loving and excellent care. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mel's name are appreciated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance, NOVA Counseling Service in Oshkosh, or a . Memorial gathering at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel on Saturday, January 19, from 10 AM - 12 PM with a service at 12 PM . Private entombment at Arlington Park Cemetery.
