Waukesha - Lifelong resident of Milwaukee, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 11th, at the age of 83. A 1954 graduate of Washington High School and a 1958 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a degree in secondary education, Ralph was an English teacher at John Marshall High School for 27 years after which he taught at various senior centers for an additional 29 years.

Upon retirement, he became a supporter of Early Music Now, and over the years he served in various roles, including Board Member and auction coordinator. His keen interest in genealogy led him to an active participation in the Milwaukee County Genealogical Society. An accomplished pianist, he also enjoyed photography, candle-making, and attending the theater.

He traveled extensively in this country and around the world and shared those adventures through the presentation of many highly regarded travelogues.

A member of Good Shepherd Trinity Church, he sang in the choir for an astounding 70 years.

Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ruth (nee Hoffman), his brother Robert and sister-in-law Vi. He is survived by his brother John (Elaine), sister-in-law Donna, nephews Robert (Jani), John (Beth) and Ken (Alonzo), nieces Cathleen (Chris) and Rebecca (Russ), and other family, friends, former students and colleagues.

A Celebration of Ralph's Life will be held on Saturday, April 4th, 2020 beginning at 1:30 p.m. with a reception to follow at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI 53072. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to Early Music Now (759 N Milwaukee St, Ste 420, Milwaukee, WI 53202) or Good Shepherd Trinity Church (3302 N Sherman Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53216).
