William Finke Notice
Finke, William William John "Bill" Finke was born on February 24, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI. Bill passed away November 8th in Brownsville, Texas. at the age of 90. At 9 years of age, Bill went to Norris Farm. He lived there and attended school until he was 16 when he decided he needed to see the world and left to join the Merchant Marines. After a couple of years, he decided he needed more education, went back to Norris Farm and completed his schooling. His first job was with the Water Dept. in Burlington,Wisconsin. He was drafted into the Army in 1949. He served as a medic in the Korean War. After returning home he went to work at Wisconsin Electric in Waukesha, Wisconsin. There he met his wife Mary Ann Kubly and they were married in December 1954. He is survived by his wife and daughters Jackie Sevallius and husband Larry, Sandra Ohberg and husband Mike. Grandchildren Alaina Rittmann and husband Marty, David and Erin Sevallius. Jeff Zajdel, Tori Dunn and husband Justin, Carolyn and Peter Ohberg. Also, great granddaughters Lily and Cora Rittmann. He was preceded in death by his mother Marcella Bell, his brother Fred and Fred's wife Nan, mother and father in law John and Mary Kubly. Bill and Mary Ann enjoyed many years of retirement and were able to travel with a RV to enjoy sightseeing, golfing, fishing, and just plain having fun. They ended up at Winter Haven Resort in Brownsville, Texus where they had a life full of activities and good friends. Bill will be greatly missed by his whole family. There will be a memorial service at North Prairie United Methodist Church, 107 N Main St., North Prairie, WI on Friday November 30th at 3:00 PM. Visitation from 2:30-3:00PM and visitation and lunch will follow the service.
