Goldammer, William R. II Of Elm Grove, left unexpectedly on Monday, February 11, 2013, at the age of 48. Beloved husband of Monica (nee Laughlin). Devoted father of William R. III and Sarah Kathryn. Loving son of Colette and William Goldammer. Giving brother of Kathleen (Mark) Copeland, Patrick (Vesta), Michael (Karen) and the late Danny Goldammer. Cherished son-in-law of MaryAnn Hanley Laughlin. Also lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other family and countless friends. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Thursday, February 14 from 4 to 7 PM. The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, February 15 at St. Mary's Visitation Parish, 1260 Church St., Elm Grove. Private graveside services at St. Mary's cemetery, Elm Grove. The family would like to express their thanks to the Doctors and staff at Froedtert Hospital for their compassionate care. Because of Bill's extreme generosity to so many charities and people, his family would appreciate your gift in his memory to any charity or school of your choice. The final gift of his life, was a gift of better life to others through organ donation. His entire life was a reflection of this final act. Whether a stranger or a friend; Bill's concern would be shown through his helpful nature a gift so often quietly given, but never expecting recognition. He was always just interested in another's well being. Thanks Bill for your life of caring.

Dear Colette and Bill,
With deep sadness I learned of Billy's passing. My heart goes out to you, his family and to all the rest of the family. I have such fond memories of him, all your kids are wonderful but Billy was special. He was wise beyond his years, had a positive attitude and imprinted the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. My prayers and thoughts are with you, and his family. May Jesus give all of you strength, hope, and endurance during this time. I wrap my arms around you in deep sadness. Elisabeth Blischke

To all the Goldammer Family,
I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Bill.
I only met him once when he was visiting London with Monica, at Rachel's party. I immediately warmed to him, he was great fun and seemed to enjoy, along with Rachel and I, finding humour in awkward moments and there were many at that party!
Thinking of you all.

To all the Goldammer Family and everyone so devastated by Bill's sudden death,my heartfelt sympathy.
Words are really inadequate at such a time of emotional pain. I pray that the faith hope and love you shared with him in lifetime can carry you over this crisis. I have just heard the sad news from Jo (Copeland) and also a wonderful account of what a special personality Bill was. Now,even in death, he has shared his precious life with others,as a donor. I hope you can celebrate and find some peace in all that when the sadness gradually fades.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you all,
Sr.Paula Cleary (Tilbury UK/ Ballycroy,Co.Mayo)

To all the Goldammer family I am thinking of you often, especially Monica, Billy and Sarah. Bill was such a hilarious, generous and kind giving person I will really miss him - we laughed so much together on the rare occasions of seeing each other and I remember these times so warmly, especially Bill and Monica's trip to London together. I still giggle now remembering him at my bizarre party chuckling with my mates over Manhattans in my flat. Such a terrible loss for you all. I am very glad to have known hin. Lots of love to you all. Goldammer and Laughlin Family,
My Thoughts and Prayers are with your families during this difficult time
I haven't seen Bill in nearly 30 years, yet still have fond memories of Bill's kindness, sincerity, and compassion to do what is right by others. He exemplified these character traits throughout the time I knew him at St. Mary's Grade School. Especially during the Troop 32 days! I will never forget and will always covet the experiences and antics on those weekend Boy Scout campouts. He left a strong impression on me way back then, and I am certain he did more to positively impact the lives of others well into his adulthood.
