Baird, Ruth Ann (Nee Spindler) Ruth Ann Baird, age 81, born November 24, 1928, passed away June 29, 2010, at her home in Sonoma, CA. Preceded in death by William, she is survived by children Eileen Arnold of Fairfax, CA, Glenn (Elizabeth) Baird of Excelsior, MN, Ellen (Les) Bornheim of San Anselmo, CA, Joanne (Kevin) Skalecki of Trevor, WI, Paul (Cindy) Baird of Colorado Springs, CO, Tom (Renae) Baird of Chaska, MN, Jeannie (Eric) Lacombe of Oakland, CA. Beloved grandmother of Alex, Alison and Sean Arnold; Lauren, Madelyn and Isabelle Skalecki; Ruby and Ryan Baird; Christy Baird; Clarissa (Frank) Terschan. Devoted sister of Ralph and Robert (Helen) Spindler; aunt of Casey, Colin and Caitlin; loving cousin of Joan Ambre and Jim Hushek. A graduate of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School and Mount Mary College, Ruth was a talented and creative artist, schoolteacher and avid golfer. She was a longtime Wauwatosa and Brookfield resident, moved to Sun City, AZ and then to Sonoma, CA. Ruth had a unique ability to endear herself to those whose path she crossed, leaving a legacy of devoted relatives and friends in Wisconsin, Arizona and California. Visitation Wednesday, July 7, at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. "Is the fudge ready.....?"
