Frederick Joseph Pascoe Notice
Pascoe, Frederick Joseph Passed away June 9, 2011 at the age of 66. Fred was born Sept 4, 1944 to Joseph & Esther (nee Haka) Pascoe in St. Augustine FL, where his father was stationed during WWII. The family settled in Milwaukee WI, where Fred graduated from Marquette University High School and University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Inspired by the musical passion of his father and uncle in Fillmore WI, Fred developed a love for music at a young age. He mastered the saxophone, violin, piano, and his true musical love, the Gibson guitar. Fred taught guitar at Beihoff Music at age 16 and continued teaching throughout his life. In the 60's and 70's, Fred performed and was vocalist with many bands, including the Tel-Stars, Hi-Lites/Del Reys, Citations, Best Approach and Roman Hanes. He performed around Wisconsin at venues such as the Milwaukee Eagles Club, The Left Guard/End, Zivko's Ballroom, Alioto's, State Fair and Summerfest. After moving to Arizona in the early 80's, he continued teaching and performing solo in Phoenix at the Camelback Inn, Sun Lakes CC, Mesa Elks Club and other venues. Fred loved a good scotch, sheepshead, Mary's cooking, yahtzee, his cat Stubby, golf, spirited conversation. Fred was the loving husband and best friend to Mary (Filtz) for 19 years, and the proud loving father of Vincent Pascoe. He was the loving brother to Jeanne (Tom) Wagner, Lynn Pascoe (Don Mills), Joe (Karen) Pascoe, loving brother-in-law to Jenny (Nick) Kirchen, Paul Filtz, Barney (Shirley) Filtz, Frank Filtz, Bernice (Red) Vandoren, Joe (Cathy) Filtz, Sue (Terry) Luscher. Fred is survived by many aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and lifelong friends. Special thanks to Manny Laguna, great friend to Fred and Mary. Finally, a standing ovation to all the musicians who performed with Fred through the years! A celebration of Fred's life will be held in Wisconsin on Sept 4. For details, contact the family at:
