Jean Bruening Obituary

Bruening, Jean E. (Nee Brever) God brought her home unexpectedly on Thursday, April 26, 2012, eight days shy of turning 60 years old. Cherished wife of Mark for 36 1/2 years. The most loving and caring Mama of the late Jessica (David) Spiekerman and Erica (Jason) Krieger. Proud Grandma of Sierra, Brody, Cadence and Gavin. Sister-in-law to Greg (Terri) Bruening. Survived by many other family and friends. She graduated from nursing school in 1972 and worked at St. Luke's Medical Center for over 25 years. We would like to thank the wonderful team of physicians that have taken great care of mom. Thank you to all of her close friends and neighbors for their constant support. There is going to be a void in our lives, especially her best buds, Daisy and Jetta. Gone, but never forgotten. Visitation Tuesday, May 1, from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:30 AM all at: St. Gregory the Great Church, 3160 S. 63rd St. Private entombment.

Mark and family, I was so so sorry to hear about Jean I loved her and she will be missed alot. I had just seen her ar St Lukes with Erica a few weeks ago. I will always remember her for how much she loved and talked about her kids and grandbabies when I saw her at the clinic. Please take care of yourself. Hugs and kisses to all. I am sorry I missed the service.I did not find out until this week.

My far away extended family... I am so sorry the kids and I couldn't come out for the funeral. I have many memories of mom Bruening:) Trevor does too!! I am saddened for all of you. Not only because she's gone but because I couldn't make it out to be there for everyone. I regret everyday that I didn't make it to my best friends funeral. Now I have missed another. We are losing so many family members WAY too soon!!! The only comfort in any of this is knowing that they are together now watching over all of us!!! I pray for the strength for you all to get through this. Again, I am so sorry I can't be there right now!! I am thinking of you and hoping you will all stick together through this very tough time. I will see you all very soon. You are in my prayers!! I know it's across the states... but I am always here for any of you to talk to.

Mark, Erica, Jason & Family:

I was extremely shocked to hear of Jean's passing and know how hard it will be for you now that she is gone. Your mama is with Jess and all other loved ones who have passed. She will be missed and always remembered. We are here if you need anything.
