I remember Dr. Salamun from the botany department, especially a field trip we took to Mexico many years ago. When we arrived in Tucson, he cut off an orange blossom for each of us ladies on the trip, and presented them with a flourish. Back at UWM, he saw us sitting on the floor outside his lab, waiting for class. The next day, an old bench appeared for us to enjoy. He always did that little bit extra. He was one of my favorite professors.
