Einsiedel, Bernard Charles "Bernie" Bernie passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2014, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the age of 95. He was born on May 16, 1918 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Fred and Nellie Einsiedel. In November of 1942 he married the love of his life, Joan. Bernie was a retired salesman, WWII Army veteran, a Shriner and a lifetime 32nd Degree Mason. He was a true gentleman and was always kind and compassionate to those he met. He adored his family and was a loving brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bernie will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Eaton) Einsiedel. Loving father of Sean (Katie) Fischer, David (Sue) Einsiedel, and Nancy "George" (Robert Williams) Einsiedel. Treasured grandfather of Nick, Matt and Kimberly Einsiedel. Treasured great-grandfather of Allison and Kyle Bernard Fischer. He is further survived by his brother, Orville (Evelyn) Einsiedel as well as other relatives and friends. Bernie was preceded in death by brothers, Loren Sr. and Ted Einsiedel. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, at Feerick Funeral Home, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Interment will be private at Arlington Park Cemetery.
