I just heard about Nik's passing. Nik and Shirley were dear friends and colleagues at graduate school in Amsterdam many years ago. We had a wonderful band of close friends from that experience that will always be cherished along with wonderful memories. I am so very sorry for your loss, Shirley, Alex and Natasha. With affection, Mary Hanley

I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Kostich. I knew him for many years as a clerk in Milwaukee County. He was always kind, a gentleman; I shall miss talking to him about culture, especially about Serbia. My condolences to his family and friends; I am glad I had the opportunity to know him.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Nik's passing. While we were opponents in court, we always spoke as friends and I don't think I ever once passed him in the milwaukee courthouse hallways without him stopping to catch up and genuinely inquire about how I was doing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He will be missed.

A truly nice man who was never rattled under pressure, and he was always willing to help younger lawyers. There are not many like Nik.

Nik.....a friend and fellow Serb. We met more then 55 years ago as young athletes, Nik at Bay View HS, I at South Division. While competitors, each felt a bond because of our heritage and struggles our parents experienced. Condolences to the family and rest assured Nik has been welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven.
