Alice LeBlanc Schaus

Notice Condolences

Schaus, Alice LeBlanc Entered the gates of Heaven on March 17, 2015, at age 100, surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her son Thomas Schaus and daughter Kathleen Nelson. Survived by her daughter Yvonne (the late Fred) Schilling; granddaughter Lori Nelson; grandsons Mark (Sandy) Schilling, John (Annette) Schilling and Paul Schilling; and great-grandchildren Evan and Emily Schilling. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Alice was born in Crookston, MN, which was an all French township. She moved to Milwaukee where she raised her family. She held many interesting jobs during her lifetime, but her favorite was as librarian at UW-Milwaukee's Special Collections/Rare Books department. She was an avid reader and loved history. She was very devoted to her family and touched many people thru her strong faith and never ending love. A special thank you to the staff at Linden Grove Menomonee Falls, especially Unit B, who gave her loving tender care. During her stay, she always tried to make sure everyone could speak a little French, which gave her absolute joy. Visitation Sat. March 21 from 10 AM until time of Mass at 11 AM, all at Gesu Church, 1145 W. Wisconsin Ave. (Parking available behind church.) Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Hales Corners.
