It is hard to believe that it has been two years since Ilona left us. I knew her only for a short time, but I liked her immediately! She was kind and loving and had an infectious smile. I am thinking of Ilona, her son, and the rest of her family during this difficult time.

I didn't know her but as a fellow Alverno Alumna, we are sisters. I am praying for the family and for her memory to live on in a way she deserves, representative of how she lived, not of how she was taken away.

While we haven't spoke since high school, I'm not sure that matters. The person I knew in High School was a fantastic, intelligent, and caring individual with a great sense of humor. Unfortunately, this tragic event has made me more aware of how amazing she was... A loving mother, multiple degree holder, hard worker, and community volunteer - Obviously, the type of person I knew in high school hasn't changed. I hope the excellent memories her friends and family have of/with her continue to help them during this difficult time. Too young - Too soon.

Although I worked with Ilona for only a short time, I immediately recognized what an outstanding woman she was. She was intelligent, caring and had a wonderful sense of humor and love of life. My thoughts and prayers are with Ilona's family and friends. I am truly grateful that I had the pleasure of knowing Ilona.

My condolences go out to Ilona's son and family, I pray that you will some how find peace during this difficult time. Every memory I have with Ilona, we were laughing. She had a selfless heart and great sense of humor. She volunteered to be my wedding photographer when my husband and I were married and didn't charge me for the negatives or her time. She also constructed a DVD video of pictures of my family and made copies for each one of us, during the last Christmas we spent with my dad before he died. She always gave me encouragement during my difficult times especially when I was in nursing school, she was one of my biggest fans. She will always forever be in my heart. I love you Ilona, may you be at peace.
