Maierle, Richard "Dick" P. Passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on March 13, 2018. Beloved husband of 57 years to the late Sharon (nee Boockmeier). Proud father of Steven (Mary), Lisa (David) Roessler, Michael (Karen), Thomas and adored grandfather of Jacob Boulware, Kelli and Jonathan Roessler, Mathew, Greta and Alison. Further survived by sister Mary Ditter and many other cherished relatives and friends. Following his Green Bay upbringing, Dick earned athletic (football) and academic scholarships to attend and graduate from Marquette University. Dick and Sharon married soon after and then settled in Wauwatosa where they raised their four children and lived happily for more than 40 years. Dick was a wonderful husband and father, an accomplished engineer, sportsman, and intellectual, and one of the most decent human beings of his time. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family. Visitation will be held at Becker Ritter Funeral Home (14075 W. North Ave., Brookfield, WI) on Saturday, March 17 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon, followed by a reception at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity will be appreciated.
