Garry Kasten Obituary

Kasten, Garry F. Garry F. Kasten, 91, of Kingsford, MI, formerly of Germantown, died Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Iron Mountain, MI. He was born on May 29, 1926 in Milwaukee. Garry served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He wrote a book about his military service, entitled "A Soldier From Milwaukee". He worked at Delco Electronics in Oak Creek. He is survived by wife Dorothy Schroeder Kasten, son David (Marcy) Kasten of Kingsford, daughter Barbara (Thom) Madden of Denison, TX, three grandsons, four great granddaughters, and nieces and nephews. Garry was preceded in death by his parents Ludwig and Lydia Kasten, brother Ludwig Kasten and sister Gloria Williams. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-6 pm at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 6pm at the church.
