James L. Davis also known as "Beaver" by friends and acquaintances, passed away on January 24, 2018 in Juneau, Alaska. Beaver was born on April 5, 1948, in Los Angeles, CA. He grew up in the hills of Los Gatos, CA. and attended Los Gatos High School. In 1974 Beaver moved to Azalea, Oregon with his wonderful wife Colleen Taylor. They gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Marijane.

Over the years Beaver worked as a logger, mechanic, van driver and jack of all trades, finally settling in Juneau, AK. Beaver was a member of the Elks Lodge #420 for many years, where he attained the rank of Exalted Ruler. Beaver contributed hundred of hours of volunteer service to the community. He was a kind and loving friend to many.

He is survived by his daughter, Marijane Stauss, granddaughters Aliena Torres and Kiana Torres, his ex-wife Colleen Stauss, his sister Mimi Davis, his younger sister Christy Hagmeier and his brother -in- law, Lee Hagmeier. He also leaves behind many, many dear friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Lucky Lady Bar in Juneau at 2P.M. Sunday, February, 11th. All who knew Beaver are welcome. Please bring pictures and stories to share.
