PODOVINNIKOFF, Edith born December 8, 1928 - December 24, 2018 aged 90 years. Edith was born on December 15, 1928 in the Veregin district, the seventh child of Wasel and Marie Prokopchuk (nee Tumac). Edith married William (Bill) Podovinnikoff in 1948, and moved to the family farm near Kamsack where they raised their three children Garry, Gregory and Brenda. Edith enjoyed gardening, knitting and spending time with her family. She had a passion for sewing that led her to a lengthy career as a seamstress. She prided herself in being a perfectionist making wedding gowns, altering all types of clothing, and doing crafts of all kinds. Edith was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her family, especially to those who called her "Baba". Edith loved the holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. Edith will be sadly missed by her family: sons Garry (Janie) Podovinnikoff, Greg (Terri) Podovinnikoff, and daughter Brenda (John) Bowes; 7 grandchildren: Regan (John), Rylan (Tammy) Sheena (Greame), Jason (Crista-lea) Justin, Jenna (Zach) Jennine (Dan) and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Wasel and Marie Prokopchuk, husband Bill, brothers John, Fred and Bill and sisters Anne, Martha, Lena and Irene. A private family service will be held at Riverview Cemetery, Kamsack, SK. Those who so wish may make memorial donations to Eaglestone Personal Care Home - Kamsack, SK.
