Lois B. Glans, 92, formerly of 98 Sleepy Hollow Rd., Kane, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 at the Warren Manor.
Born Sept. 2, 1925 in Ridgway, she was a daughter of the late James and Rhoda Johnson Bryington. On March 20, 1942 in Kane, she married Archie Glans who preceded her in death in 2010.
Before her retirement, Lois was employed at Stackpole. She enjoyed knitting and ceramics. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived for her family.
Surviving are a son, Archie (Sylvia) Glans Jr. of Cochranton; two daughters, Marsha Swedenhjelm of Kane and Kimberley (Wade) Cochran of Ludlow; and a granddaughter, Ashley (Michael) Cochran-Walters.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Swedenhjelm; a son-in-law, Darrell Swedenhjelm; three brothers, Harry, James and Walter Bryington; and two sisters, Bernise Seth and June Boschert.
A funeral service for Lois B. Glans will be held Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home Inc. and will be conducted by the Rev. V. Theodore Benson, pastor of Lebanon Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery in Kanesholm.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 30 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Lebanon Lutheran Church or Asera Care, 1600 Peninsula Dr., Suite 14, Erie, Pa. 16505.
