DERBY-Klish, Dale Ellis age 77, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away June 10, 2018. Dale was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma on Thanksgiving Day November 28, 1940, six minutes after his identical twin brother, Don. After graduating from Plainville High School, Dale worked for Shell Oil Company on a seismograph crew exploring for oil in Oklahoma, Montana, and western North Dakota in the Bakken oil fields. He was the first member in his family to earn a college degree, and graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1967. Dale worked in industrial engineering for Boeing in Wichita and Everett Washington where he saw the first Boeing 747 jumbo jet roll out. He delivered gasoline in an 18-wheel transport truck during a lay off from Boeing. He entertained anyone and everyone from checkout clerks to his Sunday school class with his quick wit, dry sense of humor and comic timing. His self-deprecating sense of humor left those around him feeling better about themselves. He was devoted to his family and attended and videoed every single sporting event and activity in which his three sons participated. He was an avid OU Sooners fan, Nascar enthusiast, enjoyed camping, fishing, water skiing and always took his family on summer vacations. He was a proud American who traveled to 49 states and 16 countries. Dale was always willing to help a neighbor, friend or stranger who was having car trouble or in need. He was generous to those in need. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Vern and Mabel (Glass) Klish; sisters and their husbands, Barbara & Lendall Rhoads, Juanita & Ted Sinclair; sister, Doris Varbel; brother, Damon.
