Manning, William M. "Bill" Manning, William M. "Bill," 75, passed away at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. on June 3, 2018. Bill was born in Wichita, Kansas on April 21, 1943, to R. William Manning and Emelia C. Manning. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, Patrick J. Manning; and sister-in-law, Judith H. Manning. Bill is survived by his sister, Nora M. Manning of Washington, D.C.; and his brother, Michael J. Manning of Seabrook Island, S.C. He attended Blessed Sacrament grade school, Kapaun Memorial high school graduating salutatorian of his class, Harvard University and the University of Kansas (BA), and New York University for graduate studies. Bill worked in urban planning for the Borough of Brooklyn, New York City, the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C., Kansas City, and the City of Wichita, as well as serving in the Peace Corps in Poland as a city planner. Funeral and internment ceremonies will be held on October 27, at Calvary Cemetery in Wichita.
