Fillion, Bryant P., 65, WSU Professor of Education, died November 3, 2003. Services will be private. Bryant held degrees from the University of Michigan, Long Island University, Florida State University, and completed a graduate fellowship at the University of Illinois. For over 40 years he was a gifted, dedicated teacher of young people and their teachers. Before becoming a Professor of Education at the University of Illinois, the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education in Toronto, Canada, Fordham University, and Wichita State University, he taught English in junior high schools in Birmingham, MI and South Huntington, NY. He is survived by his daughters, Helen and Kate, son-in-law William Falk, and grandson Charles, Toronto, Canada; sisters Margaret Handyside, of Michigan, Doris, of California, brother, Albert, of Wichita, KS. Also remembered by friends, colleagues, former students and former wife, Elinor, of Toronto, Canada. The family would appreciate donations in Bryant's memory to Hospice Care of Kansas, 3241 E. Victor Place, Wichita, KS, or the charity of your choice. Also, special thanks to Dr. Donna Sweet and staff for long-term care. Condolences may be sent to the family via www.watsonfuneral.com.
