Hugh E. Richardson

AUGUSTA-Richardson, Hugh E. 90, died June 25, 2018 after a short illness. He was born June 7, 1928 in rural Greenwood Co. Kansas to Ernest and Sarah Esther (Ward) Richardson. Hugh was a high school teacher for 15 years then became a librarian at Butler County Community College where he worked for 29 years, retiring as the Director of Library Services. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn; children Mark (Lisa) Richardson of Wichita, KS and Melody (David) Hobson, of Lincoln NE.; grandchildren, Hannah Richardson of Spokane WA, Crystal Hobson of Bellevue NE, and Dashiell Hobson of Lincoln, NE. Funeral service will be Friday, June 29, 2pm at the First Christian Church, 1600 State Street, Augusta, KS. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
