I remember Wilma very well. I still have one of her paintings that she did for my dad, Bob Featherston, years ago. I will always cherish it. Such a beautiful woman. Her spirit will live on through her art and teachings. My sincere condolences go out to her family.

Just last Friday our dear Wilma came to mind as I was discussing my own paintings. I told them that I had used my "artistic license" which I received at the young age of thirteen. I still have that piece of paper Wilma gave to me. I smiled as I remembered her, not knowing that she had just made her transition to the next life.

Just now learning that she has gone on, I am smiling but with a tear. You meant a lot to me Wilma. You believed in me and gently fostered my budding creativity. Thank you for introducing me to the artist's life. I would choose no other. Thanks for the memories. They will live in my heart forever.

Wilma Wethington was my art teacher when I was a child, some forty years ago. She was a wise, patient teacher, and a real lady. I'll always remember her---I still have some of her watercolors. She was a remarkable, lovely woman, and I will always remember her.

I am one of the many students of Wilma Wethington who was blessed by her artistic talents and life spend teaching and loving people. She took me on as student when I was in 3rd grade, and are friendship lasted nearly 45 years as we just spoke on the phone a few months back. I will miss her. She grew my love for art, which I have enjoyed all my life, and have taught my 10 children many art skills that they enjoy.
