Wichita, Kansas - Jacqueline "Jacque" Sue (Voth) Gegen, 84, passed away on April 13, 2021. She was born in Great Bend, Kansas on November 7, 1936 to John Milo Voth and Esther (Schermuly) Voth. Jacque loved taking care of all of her flowers and plants; especially Red and Yellow Roses. She was a member of Botanica for many years due to her fondness of flora. Jacque graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1954. She was a Band Twirler, Cheerleader and played piano. Jacque is a graduate of the Adela Hale business school and afterwards attended Emporia State University to study Classical Music. Her mastery of classical piano exceeded the curriculum available at Emporia State. She studied Music and Criminal Law later in her career at WSU. She worked as an Executive Assistant to the President for Dold Meat Packing Co. and finished her career as a Program Director after 20 years of working with KAKE TV before retiring. In Retirement Jacque continued to work helping and caring for people in need of in-home care. She loved taking care of her four legged children as well. She always cared deeply about her family and everyone she knew throughout her life. She married Delbert "Del" Gegen in 1982 and was married for 38 years. Jacque was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Del; sons, Jeff Wilcox, Greg (Vicky) Gegen and Steve Gegen; brother-in-law, Jerry Gegen; grandchildren, Kylee Gegen, Tyler Gegen, Levi Wilcox and Jacob Wilcox; great-grandchild, Eli Wilcox; and eight feline children who miss her very much. A visitation will be available from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2021, at Resthaven Mortuary, with Graveside service following at 1:00 p.m., at Resthaven Cemetery in the Garden Of Christus. As much as she loved flowers, she is no longer here to tend them. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, you donate to Botanica in memory of her.
