Dear Mrs. Wessels, Vickie and "Markie," The Thompson family enjoyed living next next door to you on Cherry Street! Along with my father, Hoyt (passed away in 2001), my mother, Prue (in a home for Alzheimers in K.C.) and my brother Web (K.C.), we had/have such fond memories of that time in our lives. I can vividly recall Mr. Wessels talking with my dad over the backyard fence. I send my heartfelt condolences to the three of you and your families. And warm wishes this Christmas time. Debbie Thompson Gates (Batesville, AR & NYC)

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Wessels. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.
