C. Frank Haynes Obituary
C. Frank Haynes Frank Haynes passed away Sept. 7, 2018. His dream as a young boy was to be in radio. After college he received a CBS news fellowship to Columbia University in New York. He worked in radio for forty years, the last twenty as a newsman with WDAF 61 Country. His forte was interviewing and his favorites were David McCullough, Ralph Nader, and Claire McCaskill. He loved summertime, black diamond watermelons, a good meal, great singers like Fats Domino and Peggy Lee. He will be remembered for his intelligence, great debating skills, sense of humor, and his overall kindness. He loved his family most of all. Frank was preceded in death by his son Craig and is survived by his loving wife Kay, daughter Renee (Brent), son Eric, brother Jim, and his grandchildren. Special thanks to the brilliant team of Dr. Andrew Kao and Lisa Jennings at St. Luke's. A memorial celebrating Frank's life will be held at a later date.
