WILLIAM PATRICK BIGGINS Sr.

William Patrick Biggins, Sr., a loved and admired man, died on Monday, November 29, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 7th, 10:00 a.m., at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS 66206, with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the , 3846 West 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208, or to Cure of Ars Catholic Church. Bill was born in New York on March 18, 1935. He was a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School, Manhattan College in New York, and a graduate student at New York University. He had careers with IBM, General Foods, and Howard Johnsons in a financial capacity. In 1969, he realized a dream of his to start his own business. Along with a business associate, he opened a food brokerage. They later started a new company, Aspen Products together, until the death of his partner in 1994. The company is still owned and operated by the family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary; and two brothers, Thomas and John. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ann Marie; sons, William, Jr. (Terry), Thomas (Paula); daughters: Jeanne (John), Patricia (Stan), and Susan (Don); ten grandchildren: Sean, Matthew. and Nicole Biggins, Luke, Anna, Mark, and Eric Biggins, Sam, Will, and Ben Bourdow. Also surviving are three sisters: Mary Ellen Desmond (Patrick), Josephine Sheridan (Peter), Kathleen now Sister Maria Goretti; and many nieces and nephews, who along with his children, spent many happy hours at the shore and skiing together (UB and the Gang). Appreciation and thanks to the caring staff at Garden Terrace. Goodbye Bill, a great husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, gentleman, and friend.
