My condolences to Leonard's friends and family. I'm sorry my sympathy is late, but I just found out when I met his housekeeper in a hallway.
He was John Knox Village's oldest WWII veteran and a few years ago, when he was only 105 or 106, he reminisced about being in his thirtys and being surrounded by 18 year olds (recent high-school graduates).
