PHARR-PATRICIA THACKERY

Pharr-Patricia Thackery, 83, died May 18 at Bridges Assisted Living Center in Mission, TX. She was born in Bethany, Missouri to Dr. R.H. and Lois Beets. She was raised in Bethany, Ridgeway and Stanberry Missouri. She graduated from Stanberry H.S. and attended Maryville College for 2 years. She lived in Key West, FL with her husband Elmer for a few years while he was in the Navy. They returned to Kansas City, MO where she worked for TWA Airlines for 27 years. After retirement Pat and Elmer retired to their home at the Lake of the Ozark's for the summer and wintered in Pharr, Texas at the TOT RV Resort. Following the death of her husband, Pat became a full time Texan. She was smart, musically talented and fun. She loved to be around people and enjoyed a very active life style. She loved the pool crowd at the TOT RV Resort and was well known for her love of dancing and long island tea. Pat is survived by her daughter, Phyll Thackery of Pharr TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years, Elmer "Brave" Thackery, and her son John Steven Thackery. She will be missed by many extended family and friends from Missouri and her many friends from the TOT RV Resort in Pharr Texas. Phyll would like to thank the Bridges at Mission Assisted Living Center for their loving care of her mom. There will be no local services. Her body was cremated and will be buried later in Kansas City, MO next to her husband and son.
