CLARENCE A. CONOLEY

Clarence A. Conoley, 90, of Overland Park, Kan., passed away Monday, January 30, 2017. He was surrounded by family. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Clarence is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sue, and his three children, Rebecca (Scott Harman), Conrad (Becky Pedersen), and Thomas (Jaclyn), seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Clarence was a life-long resident of the metropolitan Kansas City area. He graduated from William Chrisman High School. He earned a bachelor's degree and a law degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Upon graduation from law school, Clarence was hired into the legal department of Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company where he continued to work until his retirement as a senior attorney. During World War II, Clarence served in the United States Army and earned the rank of Sergeant. He served in South Korea. It was the accommodations extended to returning veterans by the University that enabled Clarence to pursue a law degree. Although his work with the law was very important to him, Clarence held his family most dear. A Celebration of Life will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel at 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS 66210.
